Where did it go? Are you saying that the music business stopped making money? Or are you saying they just aren't making the amount of money they used to make?
Fight all you want, but everything is going to be free (or nearly free) eventually. And I mean everything. This includes clothes, food, furniture ... even housing. It's the future.
And you know what we're going to be doing? Working for free. Well, if you love your career more than money. For those of you that love money more than your career... well, you're screwed.
